Plus500 has agreed to acquire full ownership of Guru Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários, a Brazilian broker-dealer regulated by the CVM and the Central Bank of Brazil, funded entirely from the company's existing cash reserves of over $860 million.
The purchase gives Plus500 direct access to Brazilian stocks, futures, options, and fixed-income securities without requiring a new licensing process. CEO David Zruia described Brazil as one of the world's most attractive trading markets and said the acquisition provides the licence, local team, and regulatory framework the company needs to operate there.
The deal follows Plus500's acquisition of Hedge, a FINRA-regulated US broker-dealer, and a B2B partnership with Nelogica, whose BlackArrow platform connects regional financial institutions to CME Group derivatives. Plus500 entered South America in 2025 through a representative office in Colombia authorised by the Financial Superintendence.
Plus500 already holds CFTC authorisation and clears prediction market contracts through its Plus500 Futures arm, including Kalshi contracts for US retail users. The company also serves as clearing partner for the CME-FanDuel prediction market venture. Zruia has said the Hedge acquisition lays groundwork for a US super-app planned for the first quarter of 2027.
