The Recording Academy awarded Bad Bunny the Emmy for outstanding variety special (live) on Saturday for "The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny," which also took six craft awards including music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction and directing.
The performance, staged during Super Bowl LX, featured Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin as guest performers alongside a live wedding and appearances from Los Angeles business owners. Creative director Harriet Cuddeford described the concept as a celebration of Latino community and everyday life.
The win gives Bad Bunny his first Emmy. The halftime show had received seven nominations in total.
