Fanatics combines sportsbook, casino and markets in single app

Heath Quinn Junior Markets Analyst ·1 sources

Fanatics Betting and Gaming launched Fanatics Sports & Casino on Thursday, merging its sportsbook, casino, and event contracts platform into a single application available across the United States.

The app consolidates three existing products: the Fanatics Sportsbook, live in 23 states and Washington D.C.; Fanatics Casino, operating in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia; and Fanatics Markets, its federally regulated event contracts platform, available in 22 states and four territories. The app detects a user's location and surfaces only the products permitted in that jurisdiction.

Matt King, CEO of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, said the app gives customers a single product that travels with them across state lines. The platform also ties in FanCash, Fanatics' existing rewards currency, allowing users to earn points across betting, trading, and casino play and redeem them against merchandise through the Fanatics retail catalogue.

The launch arrives as Fanatics Markets positions itself in the same federally regulated event contracts space where Kalshi is fighting state-by-state legal challenges. Fanatics has not disclosed which states it expects to add to the Fanatics Markets footprint as that litigation continues to move through the courts.
