Queensland police are investigating a drive-by shooting outside Fitzy's Loganholme, south of Brisbane, that left four people injured on Saturday evening, including a 19-year-old woman shot in the head and neck who remains in a critical condition following surgery.
Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said a Mitsubishi pulled up to the passenger drop-off zone outside the licensed venue at approximately 8.18pm while a boxing event was underway inside. Two men wearing balaclavas and gloves fired multiple shots from the front window of the vehicle, striking four people gathered outside.
Three other victims — men aged 38, 37, and 27 — sustained abdominal gunshot wounds and remain in serious but stable condition. Police allege the Mitsubishi was then driven to Maloney Road at Waterford West, where it was set alight. A second vehicle collected the occupants. Galpin said it was possible one of those occupants sustained burns in the process. The offenders remain at large.
Logan's mayor Jon Raven said the attack was without precedent for the area and that children were present at the venue when shots were fired.
