SS Lazio has replaced Polymarket with Kaiyun Sports as its commercial shirt sponsor after the prediction market partnership collapsed, the Serie A club confirmed Tuesday.
Kaiyun Sports, an Asia-focused betting and gaming operator, will take the position Polymarket vacated. The Dutch regulator Spillemyndigheden blocked Polymarket across multiple European territories in recent weeks, a development that made the partnership untenable for a club operating inside Serie A's commercial structure.
Lazio's move to Kaiyun keeps the sponsorship inside the betting and gaming sector while sidestepping the regulatory exposure that came with a prediction market partner. Kaiyun operates primarily in Asian markets where the regulatory picture differs sharply from the Netherlands, France, and the wider European landscape that has turned hostile to Polymarket.
No financial terms were disclosed. The announcement does not specify the contract length or the range of rights Kaiyun acquires under the agreement.
The replacement deal arrives as European clubs and rights holders reassess commercial relationships with prediction market platforms. Polymarket's ban across three jurisdictions in quick succession has made it a harder sell to compliance teams at major football institutions, regardless of the platform's global trading volumes.
