Bet365 launched sports betting and online casino operations in West Virginia on Tuesday, bringing its full product suite to its 18th regulated jurisdiction in the United States.
The company is offering both sportsbook and casino products simultaneously, a combined entry that distinguishes it from operators who have staged rollouts across the two verticals. West Virginia allows online casino gambling, a feature not available in most US states, giving Bet365 a fuller commercial footprint than a sportsbook-only launch would provide.
Trip Stoddard, Bet365's Head of Development, said the West Virginia entry was part of continued expansion across North America, with the NFL season providing an immediate commercial catalyst. The company is also reported to be preparing at least one additional state launch before the season's opening week.
Bet365 now operates in 18 US jurisdictions, a footprint built steadily against the dominant market positions of FanDuel and DraftKings. West Virginia's combined sports betting and iGaming environment gives the operator a test case for the integrated model it has used successfully in regulated European markets.
