Ellie Goulding sues former managers over Live Nation conflict

Ellie Goulding filed legal claims in a UK court on 24 July against her former managers Ben Mawson and Ed Millet of TaP Management, and TaP's parent company HNOE Limited, alleging breach of fiduciary duty.

Goulding, who signed to TaP in 2018 and remained through 2025, alleges that Mawson and Millet repeatedly directed her toward Live Nation for touring, merchandising and a documentary film without disclosing that Live Nation had purchased a controlling stake in HNOE in 2015, then acquired the remainder of the company in 2019. She alleges the ownership arrangement bound her managers to contractual obligations that prevented them from steering clients away from Live Nation deals.

Live Nation is not named as a defendant and has not been accused of wrongdoing. The company declined to comment.

Goulding is seeking unspecified financial damages. Representatives for Goulding and TaP had not responded to requests for comment as of 17 August.
