Gate launches white-label prediction market builder with $3 million grant fund

Gate, a Panama-based cryptocurrency exchange, launched an infrastructure product in August that allows brokers, Web3 applications, and trading platforms to integrate prediction market functionality into their own products without building the underlying systems from scratch.

The product, called Event Contracts Builder, sits within Gate's decentralized-exchange platform, Gate DexBuilder. Jason Fung, head of Gate DexBuilder, said the tool lets companies add event contract features quickly without committing significant engineering resources to the infrastructure layer.

Gate entered the prediction market ecosystem earlier as a Polymarket integration partner, becoming the first exchange to deploy Polymarket Builder. The Event Contracts Builder represents a competitive turn: Gate is now offering its own parallel infrastructure to the platform that gave it its first foothold in the space.

Alongside the product, Gate has committed $3 million in grant funding to support companies building event contract products. Selected applicants may also receive technical assistance and marketing support. The program opened in August and is reviewing its first applicants.

The move reflects a pattern developing across the sector: as Kalshi and Polymarket establish the consumer layer, a second tier of infrastructure providers is forming beneath them, supplying the integration layer to businesses that want forecasting functionality without the regulatory exposure of operating a prediction market directly.
