Kalshi has raised 1.12 billion dollars in private equity since April

Eleanor Ashworth Senior Markets Analyst ·1 sources

Kalshi has collected $1.12 billion through a private equity offering since April, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figure arrives weeks after reports that the platform was seeking $750 million in fresh capital at a $40 billion valuation. The SEC filing does not specify the valuation at which the April-to-August raise was completed, nor does it name the investors who participated.

The gap between the reported fundraising target and the amount actually raised suggests either the round was upsized or the $750 million figure reflected an earlier tranche of a larger program. Kalshi has not commented publicly on the discrepancy.

The platform has been expanding on multiple fronts simultaneously — sports partnerships, parlay products, and active federal litigation — all of which require sustained capital. A raise of this size, if deployed against regulatory and product costs at the current pace, extends the runway but does not eliminate the pressure those costs generate.
