LBank, a crypto exchange, launched a pre-IPO market on 30 October offering tokenised assets linked to Kalshi equity, giving retail traders synthetic exposure to the prediction market platform ahead of any formal public offering.
The product is structured as a tokenised representation of Kalshi shares, not direct equity. Buyers hold a crypto instrument whose value is indexed to Kalshi's private market price, which the Sports Business Journal reports was set at $40 billion in the platform's Series G round. The mechanics create a layered risk structure: holders are exposed to Kalshi's operational and legal position, to LBank's counterparty standing, and to the gap between the synthetic price and whatever a public market eventually clears. All three are live variables. The CFTC's preemption litigation across Utah, Missouri, and Louisiana remains unresolved, and the criminal charges against Kalshi's founders in Utah are pending. A synthetic instrument priced at the Series G valuation embeds none of that discount.
